Cancellation of the Bolshoi Ballet performance of Swan Lake

The Swan Lake performance by the Bolshoi Ballet was cancelled by their UK cinema distributor, leaving us with no choice other than to remove it from our Spring programme.  We are hoping that this is just a postponement and we can schedule it again in the future.

We have made the decision to screen West Side Story in its place. This has been one of our most popular films this year, and is fundamentally about the triumph of love over conflict. And from a wholly practical perspective, it is similar in length, therefore it doesn’t impact other performances.

We continue to be guided by the advice of the UK Cinema Association, and will of course listen to the views of the wider cinema-going community that we serve.
