Environmental groups in the Chichester area are delighted, once again, to be presenting a mini eco film festival – A Greener Screen – with the much-valued support of Chichester Cinema.
Film has a unique power to inspire, entertain and inform, which this carefully selected programme will provide, but we also hope it may rally, rouse and call to action - and open eyes about our beautiful but beleaguered planet.
The films range from the meditative to the challenging and thought-provoking. There are also two sea-themed short films which are free, and an education team talk on environmental films through the decades. The wonders, and fragility, of the natural world are explored throughout the festival, as is our relationship to it. Damage has been wreaked, but A Greener Screen offers solutions and transformation – and no little cause for hope.
