Winter 2022

Fri 7 Jan to Thu 24 Feb

As the cinematic Awards Season approaches, all the top filmmakers, producers and distributors jostle to get their best films released just at the right time to be in the best position for glory.

This Winter 2022 Season is the perfect example of this trend, as we see some of the big-hitters being released throughout January and February.

Kenneth Branagh's 'Belfast' will undoubtedly be topping award nominee lists, as will Almodóvar's 'Parallel Mothers', and 'The Tragedy of Macbeth' to name but three.

Look out also for some wonderful foreign cinema (do not miss 'A Hero'), informative documentaries ('Ailey' and 'The Story of Film'); some unmissable remasters ('The 400 Blows' and 'Jules et Jim'), live Performance events (Bolshoi, NT Live and ROH), and three educational film talks ('Angelopoulos', 'Song & Dance in Film' and 'Montand/Signoret').

We are probably best known for our foreign and independents screenings, but we do not shy away from the quality blockbusters. We present 'The King's Man' with Ralph Fiennes, Guillermo del Toro's 'Nightmare Alley' as well as the eagerly awaited 'Matrix Resurrections' for those who need a bit of an action 'fix'.
