The pièce de resistance of this last season of 2024 is the annual French Film Festival UK on Tour, curated by Roger Gibson. We are presenting 23 films and two illustrated talks, and most of the films are UK premieres or previews, featuring French cinema royalty such as Catherine Deneuve, Isabelle Huppert, Léa Seydoux, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Yves Montand and Fabrice Luchini.
We’re also excited to participate in the BFI’s Art of Action season, showcasing the wonder and excitement of action cinema. We will go as far back as Buster Keaton’s ‘The General’ and end with Kathryn Bigelow’s surfing thriller ‘Point Break’ in early January.
We want to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a wonderful holiday season. Your support means the world to us, and we couldn’t do what we do without you. This year has been a fantastic journey for Chichester Cinema, with bustling months and some quieter early summer days, but overall, it’s been a great year thanks to you.
