Rusty Russell (Luke Wison) arrives at the Masonic School for Orphans and creates a football team The Mighty Mites with some of the orphan boys. Over the course of their winning season these underdogs and their resilient spirit became an inspiration to their city, state, and an entire nation in need of a rebound, even catching the attention of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
This is a pleasantly old-fashioned, family friendly feel-good movie that will delight anyone looking for an uplifting experience after so long a period of gloom. You don’t need to know about American Football to enjoy the film’s charms.
