Orlando (Francisco Reyes) is a middle-aged, silver-haired textile factory manager who falls in love with a young singer called Marina (Vega).
After celebrating Marina's birthday one evening, Orlando falls seriously ill, and in that moment, Marina’s seemingly stable world begins to crumble right before her eyes.
She will have to battle the very same forces that she has spent a lifetime fighting just to become the woman she is now - a complex, strong, forthright and fantastic woman.
Much will likely be made of the fact that Vega not only stars as a transgender woman, but is one herself, and delivers a star-making turn of quiet suffering and steely resolve, ably shouldering the dramatic load of a film that keeps her, at all times, front and centre.
