After their home was destroyed as depicted in the first film, Evelyn Abbott (Emily Blunt) leads what is left of her family in search of fellow survivors. Silence is golden for the Abbott family as the aliens can hear even the slightest noise. However, the creatures are not the only threat as the Abbotts come into contact with vicious, feral humans.
