The classic story gets a 21st-century MGM musical-style update from director Joe Wright ('Atonement', 'Hanna') with Peter Dinklage as Cyrano. Unencumbered by the traditional huge nose, this Cyrano is stifled in his pursuit of Roxanne by his diminutive stature. Instead, he arms another suitor Christian with the poetry to woo Roxanne, The bargain is, “I will make you eloquent, while you make me handsome.”
This version is embellished with lovely wistful ballads while Wright’s swooping cameras and beyond-dazzling production design bring new meaning to the word ‘panache’. This classic tale of a twisted courtship has never been in safer hands.
The distributor has rescheduled the release of this film to early Spring - our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
