When the residents of the Woodberry Down Estate in Hackney, London, find out that a property developer has been given permission to fell a much-loved 150-year-old London Plane tree – named ‘The Happy Man Tree' - they start a campaign to save it.

The film charts the ups and downs of the nine-month fight by the endlessly determined and creative local activists, including seven-year-old Lucas and 82-year-old estate veteran Sylvia.

This charming grassroots-style film, which has touched hearts, will have you rooting for the swaying, stoic tree and the preservation of urban nature.

Director Katy McGahan will provide a recorded Q&A after the screening. Why not walk to the cinema after hugging your favourite tree?
