This film is not currently scheduled to screen at New Park.

The first Open Air Screening of ‘High Society’ launched the 17th Film Festival in 2008, which was held outside Chichester Cathedral as a free event. The idea was to provide a family community event and promote our International Film Festival which commenced a week later. We continued with the free open-air Cathedral shows until we moved to Priory Park in 2011, and opened on 2 evenings with ‘Carmen’ and ‘West Side Story’. – Roger Gibson.

This joyful witty musical remake of 'The Philadelphia Story' stars Grace Kelly as socialite Tracy Lord who, even as she prepares for her second marriage, still has obvious feelings for her ex-husband (Bing Crosby). She also strikes up a friendship with a reporter (Frank Sinatra), who has been sent to cover her society wedding.

The Cole Porter score includes 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' and the famous Crosby/Sinatra duet 'Well, Did You Evah'. As a bonus we have the jazz master himself, Louis Armstrong, playing the hottest trumpet in the land.

Tickets Only £2.00
