In Detail

This glamorous production was captured on location on Sydney Harbour in 2021 in front of a sold out audience. 'La Traviata' features timeless romantic arias, lively choreography, beautiful costumes and spectacular fireworks.

Directed by Constantine Costi, the staging utilized a massive floating pontoon on the water with a raked stage. The set famously featured imaginative Paris landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Moulin Rouge, glowing with neon and spectacular pyrotechnics that illuminated the night sky during the climax.

Stacey Alleaume’s debut in the demanding role of Violetta received widespread acclaim. Critics lauded her as "heartrendingly triumphant". She was joined by Rame Lahaj, whose warm tenor perfectly complemented her soprano..
