Huyton is charming but controlling, and his wish to marry Lucy off for financial gain is scuppered when she begins a forbidden love affair with a local Tamil plantation worker called Krishna (Mehdi Dehbi).

To be together, Lucy and Krishna must risk everything and defy a world determined to tear them apart.

This is the first feature film to authentically portray Mauritius to the world and celebrate the island’s multicultural history. As a result, a newly established Mauritian Film Office has been created, hopefully leading to many more films being made on this picturesque isle.
