The illuminating story of two powerful moguls (Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse) who do battle over the supply of electricity in the late 1880s.

Edison (Benedict Cumberbatch) is on the verge of creating a marketable and sustainable electricity system for the first time in history, when Westinghouse (Michael Shannon) notices a grand weakness in Edison's design and ignites a war of currents between these two rivals.Nicholas Hoult (‘The Favourite’) co-stars as the genius maverick Nikola Tesla, whilst Tom Holland, Katherine Waterston, Matthew McFadyen and Tuppence Middleton play the fringe characters of this historical story with skill.

Eye-catching cinematography (Chung-hoon Chung), production design (Jan Roelfs) and art direction (Stephen Bream) make this film a joy to watch.
