To mark Women’s’ History Month we present a very special event commemorating ‘The Female Heroines of the SOE’. This event will be made up of a play; a talk; and an optional tour of Tangmere Military & Aviation Museum.

In Detail

The event will commence with a dramatisation by Deborah Clair, a playwright and actor, playing Vera Atkins, the SOE intelligence officer who helped recruit female agents and who at the end of the war, sought out the fate of those who did not return.

The second half of the morning event will feature Rosemary Coxon, the Cinema’s Education Officer and Lynn Keltie, one of her team, presenting an illustrated talk on the lives of three of the female SOE agents using clips from films including ‘Carve Her Name with Pride’ and ‘Odette’.
