Inspired by the Brazilian new release ‘The Secret Agent’, this talk on one of the most loved of all film genres – the Thriller - is a must for film-lovers who love to know how they are made to work on the silver screen.

Greg Mosse, who will lead this talk, is a ‘writer and encourager of writers’ whose workshops are highly sought after at festivals at home and abroad. Husband of international bestselling author Kate Mosse, he has lived and worked in Paris, New York, Los Angeles and Madrid, but grew up in south-west Sussex. In 2014, he founded the Criterion New Writing playwriting programme and has written and/or produced more than 25 of his own plays and musicals. His acclaimed thriller ‘The Coming Darkness’, was published by Moonflower in 2022, followed in 2024 and 2025 by ‘The Coming Storm’ and ‘The Coming Fire’. For Hodder & Stoughton, he’s written a successful 1970s cosy crime series, the Maisie Cooper Mysteries, and a new collection of Provençal village whodunnits, beginning with The French Bookshop Murder.
