Stark but utterly compelling, this chilling take on Macbeth is a visually stunning tour de force. Macbeth witnesses three witches foresee his future as a nobleman rising to take the throne of the kingdom. Lady Macbeth quickly hatches a murderous plot to hasten his ascension. Phenomenally dark and wicked and filmed in ghostly monochrome, this is theatrical and cinematic at the same time.
