These include: Sam Mendes’ Empire Of Light with Olivia Colman; The National Theatre’s production of Othello; 2023 Golden Globe Best Actress Cate Blanchett in Tar; the much-anticipated Stephen Spielberg’s The Fabelmans (winner of plenty of Golden Globes overnight); and The Whale, which has already been tipped for the Best Actor Oscar for Brendan Fraser.
Our 2For1 Offer this coming weekend complements our new Feel Good Friday Screenings. With tickets costing just £3 for adults, including a free cup of tea or coffee, and £1 for children, it’s our way of giving something back during these challenging times for much of our local community.
The next Feel Good Fridays take place on 20 January with A Man Called Otto starring Tom Hanks followed The Old Way on 10 February, directed by Brett Donowho and starring Nicholas Cage.
Many of the films featured this season will be discussed at the cinema’s monthly movie meet-up, Cine Circle. Taking place at Wagtail Coffee each month, people are invited to share their thoughts and reviews on certain screenings in a friendly and informal atmosphere over a hot drink or glass of wine. Attendance for these meetings is free but booking is required.
