Talks for adults

To encourage debate, enlighten, intrigue and inspire!

Festival Talks

OUR FILM EDUCATION PARTNERS

DISCOVER THE STORIES BEHIND THE FILMS AND FILMMAKERS YOU LOVE!

Our events for adults are designed to encourage debate, enlighten, intrigue and inspire! They are generally held at 10:30 on Saturday mornings (or occasionally at 6pm on weekdays).

The cinema is not just about showing films, it is about how film meets history and culture and we hope it also sparks conversation, encourages debate and experimentation and it can be a catalyst for new social experiences as like-minded people take a deep dive into what they love most.

Being very community-focused, we love collaborating with other organisations such as Chichester Festival Theatre, Transition Chichester, Stone Pillow, the University and we also welcome outside experts from for example the BFI as well as local historians, authors and lecturers.

“Our cinema is a treasure and a constant source of interest, inspiration and education for our city and surrounding neighbourhoods.  We and many, many others would be bereft without it.”
