We want every visit to Chichester Cinema to feel relaxed, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone, so we’ve put together a few simple guidelines that help keep the experience special for all film lovers.
A little courtesy goes a long way — arriving on time helps everyone settle in, and we kindly ask that mobile phones are switched off (even the screen light can be distracting during a screening). Many guests also like to stay for the end credits, so we encourage everyone to enjoy the full experience together.
If anyone is behaving in a way that is disruptive, antisocial or unsafe, our team may need to ask them to leave the cinema without a refund. This includes any form of verbal or physical abuse towards staff or other customers.
For everyone’s comfort and safety, we may also ask anyone who is intoxicated to leave the auditorium. Illegal substances and weapons are strictly not permitted anywhere on the premises, and anyone found with them will be refused entry or asked to leave. In some cases, we may also involve the police.
Smoking and the use of electronic cigarettes or vaping devices are not allowed inside the auditorium. Anyone not following this may be asked to leave.
There is a nice bar serving drinks and snacks at the cinema, but if you choose to bring your own drinks and snacks into the auditorium, we kindly ask that no hot food is consumed during screenings, and that noisier snacks (like rustling crisp packets!) are kept to a minimum so everyone can enjoy the film.
It is a serious criminal offence to copy or attempt to copy any film, soundtrack or other copyright-protected material shown in the auditorium and customers found in contravention will be liable on conviction to an unlimited fine and imprisonment of up to 10 years. Customers bringing equipment into the auditorium for the purpose of recording risk its confiscation.
In order to comply with applicable health and safety legislation, we request that customers refrain from obstructing the aisles with personal belongings and to keep their personal belongings with them at all times. Chichester Cinema cannot accept any responsibility for the loss, theft, alteration or damage to any personal items brought into the auditorium
Chichester Cinema reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time without notice.
