As the duo experiences musical madness through their shared delusions, Arthur's followers start a movement to liberate him. Upon release, the pair embark on a doomed romantic misadventure.

Zazie Beetz reprises her role as Arthur’s neighbour from the previous film, while Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener and Steve Coogan also join the cast.
