In Detail

Jean's daughter Manon (Emmanuelle Béart) has grown up into a beautiful and free-spirited young shepherdess on her father's Provence farm.

But when she learns the tragic truth about her father's demise,

Manon plots her revenge on the dim-witted Ugolin (Daniel Auteuil) and the scheming Le Papet (Yves Montand).

Her plot is complicated by Ugolin, who has fallen in love with her - but Manon's retribution will not be deterred.

The timeless story has majestic pacing over the affairs of four generations. It is the award-winning sequel to ‘Jean De Florette’ but is totally self-contained and can be watched without seeing its predecessor.
