His team of elite operatives discover the world-ending weapon he's been instructed to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child (newcomer Madeleine Yuna Voyles). There is a masterful human saga at the film’s centre, and the emotions fuelling the action are so intimately satisfying that they will linger for hours afterwards.
